Hurricane Sandy

Well, after 15 years of setting on the roof of our church, Truth Baptist Church, our steeple was too damaged to keep. Good thing God had my husband going by there this morning to see all was okay. He quickly called me to let me know that the steeple was leaning and didn't know if it would stay up there with another big gust. We had an awesome group of men come out and help us get it down safely with no damage. Thank you Lord for protecting everyone. Here is what we have spent our whole day doing.

Prayer Request: is that the insurance company will be helpful in getting us money for all we need and get another steeple quickly. Also, that when the new one is put on the steeple, everyone will be safe. Last, but no least, that Bruce the guy on the lift is a local contractor, that we will have the opportunity to see him get saved. Thank you all so much!!!

Here is the before picture

Seeing how loose the steeple is

Tying the rope on it

The start of pulling it off

Down it goes

And its stuck on the stink pipe :)

But then we finished getting it down one more big pull

All down

The mess and my 3 kiddos evaluating it

:( it looks so sad without the steeple.
