Allowing God to Busy Our Lives!

Life sometimes seems to get so busy and the days past seem like a blur. I am thankful to a God that takes our time away from everything else if we allow Him to. To completely be sold out to Him in service everyday. We have been canvassing our area passing out flyer's for the upcoming NBT (Neighborhood Bible Time) week. I must say we have been so blessed to have people be so receptive to taking the flyer's and more rewarding then that, watching my own children's excitement in wanting to do everything they can to help. "But Jesus said, Suffer the little children, and forbid them not, to come unto me: for of such is the kingdom of Heaven." Matthew 19:14. I want to do exactly what Jesus says, I want my children to serve Him and they are...there is not greater blessing. Allow your children to serve in anyway, our boys take up the offering every Sunday morning, they sing during services, they help during canvassing, they help us clean the church, they pray for others and soon Isaiah will play a special on the piano every once in a while.

I want to share another blessing I had today.  Everyone in the house fell asleep except me, so I took advantage of the situation and went out on the dock and just spent some quiet time with the Lord. I spent time in prayer, reading His Word and meditating on what I read. It was so peaceful and all I heard was the water on the shore, birds chirping, a slight breeze and fish here and there. It was great. I just poured my heart out to the Lord. I love the moments though when your all done that the Lord allows for that time to allow you to, "Be still, for I am God:" Psalm 46:10. Just sit and listen to Him. I must say we have had a lot going on, a lot coming up and it hasn't been the easiest week, but when you just allow God to do what He does best, He makes it all better. I would love to put on here all that I read today, but I would be typing forever, so I will just tell you a few of the verses that just stood out to me today. God always hears us when we talk to Him, but it's our job to make sure we do talk to Him. :)

"Hearken unto the voice of my cry, my King, and my God: for unto thee will I pray. My voice shalt thou hear in the morning, O Lord; in the morning will I direct my prayer unto thee, and will look up...But let all those that put their trust in thee rejoice: let them ever shout for joy, because thou defendest them: let them also that love thy name be joyful in thee." Psalm 5:3,4,11
