Memorial Day Weekend!

We had a wonderful weekend and I am so excited to share. On Saturday I spent the day with my mom and sister in Portland and got all my shopping done for Isaiah's birthday. We also went to the train station to get Brian a friend of my sisters and enjoyed a walk along the coast on Marginal Way. On Sunday we went to church and had a great day serving the Lord. Then Monday, we all woke up early to go watch my husband run his first 5K race. It was so exciting to wait for him to cross the finish line. He finished 165th out of 450 and with a time of 37.14 minutes. Not to bad for his first race. It was exciting hearing him tell me that his favorite part was seeing us cheer him on over the finish line. I love him so much. We then came home and everyone came over for Isaiah's party. We ate lunch, swam, kayaked, opened gifts, ate cake, played soccer, baseball, had a fire, ate dinner, played with sparklers and ate s'mores. I think majority of the day we ate. :) We made many memories too. My husband and I decided to burn the Christmas tree and he put it on the fire. The flames went to high that he had to grab the tree and throw it onto the shore of the lake and it burned down there. WOW! It was quite scary, but now we laugh about it. Watching him grab the tree and throw it was pretty amazing, glad that we live next to the lake. Let's just say there are not as many leaves on the maple tree above anymore. Praising the Lord that everyone is safe and that no other trees lit. Here are a few pictures of our exciting weekend!
