What a busy time of year...

Wow! What an amazingly busy time of year. The tree is up, the house is cleaned, gifts are wrapped and lights are up. When we stop and think about Christmas...what makes yours? Is it the old traditions that we carry out because that what our family has done for years? or do you go out of your way to share with your family and others about the CHRIST of CHRISTmas. I love this time of year and praise God for allowing us such a wonderful time of year to celebrate His birth. Landon asks every time he sees a present, "Are those Jesus's birthday presents?" and Isaiah yells, "Happy Birthday!" all the time because he says, "I want to be sure Jesus hears me in my heart." Too cute, I love kids and how their minds are so simple and sometimes they put us to shame because they focus more about it being a celebration of Jesus's birth then we do. Don't stress out this year, make it a day for Him and honor our Lord and Saviour.

"For unto us a child is born, unto us a Son is given: for the government shall be upon His shoulders, and His name shall be called, Wonderful, Counsellor, the Mighty God, the Everlasting Father, the Prince of Peace." Isaiah 9:6

So, what will you change this Christmas to make it a day celebrating our Lord?
1. Make a birthday cake and sing to Him?
2. Start your day out by reading the Christmas story to your children?
3. Make it a special time and have everyone say what they are giving Jesus for Christmas?
4. Salvation is another great gift to give Jesus, if you don't know Him...now is the time to know Him!

Here are a few ideas...hope this helps :)
